Your driveway is something you use every day, and it gives visitors their first impression of your property.
With this in mind, it’s important to make a smart investment when it comes to driveway paving, patching and sealcoating, and that starts with choosing the right contractor.
Central Vermont Construction will assist you in developing a maintenance plan to extend the life of your asphalt investment.
We will visit your project, evaluate your individual situation and prepare a professional, detailed proposal.
We offer a variety of services to help maintain the life of your asphalt investment. Our knowledgeable staff will assist you in determining an asphalt maintenance plan that best suits your needs.
Asphalt Paving & Patch Work
Asphalt patch paving is a very cost-effective way to treat problem areas without replacing the entire asphalt service. Typical problem areas include potholes, frost heave damage, and/or the gap that occurs between the driveway and the garage floor, when the asphalt settles. Asphalt patch work only takes a few hours to complete and you can drive on it immediately after.
Hot Rubber Crack Sealing
Hot rubber is an inexpensive way to extend the life of your asphalt. We heat the product to 365 degrees and apply it directly to the base of the crack. As the substance cools, it bonds with the asphalt creating a pliable elasticity.
Seal Coating
Properly designed and constructed asphalt pavement often deteriorates from traffic use. Surface wear is primarily caused by weathering, oxidation and the destructive softening effects of gasoline, oil and de-icers.
Our sealing application is specifically formulated to shield against the harmful elements that lead to deterioration. Extend the life of your asphalt pavement and restore that like-new look at minimal cost. Asphalt Seal Coating can save thousands of dollars over the life of your driveway.
The process includes thoroughly cleaning the entire surface, sealing any necessary cracks and applying a coat of eco-friendly master seal sealcoat made by SealMaster. Once the first coat is dry, we will come back and apply a second coat of sealer your driveway.
Both coats are completely dry after approximately 24 hours and you will be able to drive on your driveway the next day.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance will help you extend the life of your asphalt driveway. The maintenance schedule can vary widely, with a big factor being snow removal. If you shovel your driveway by hand or use a snowblower, you could go as much as 5 years without needing to re-pave or re-seal your driveway.
But if, like most Vermonters, you have your driveway plowed, chances are you’ll need to repair it or sealcoat it every couple of years.
We make maintenance easy by contacting all of our customers every spring and offering a no-obligation “driveway check-up”. If we find cracks that are longer than 6 inches, or if we feel your driveway needs a new sealcoat, we’ll get you an estimate. If we feel your driveway is in good shape, we’ll thank you and see you next year.
